We shall not cease from exploration. And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started; And know the place for the first time. ~ T.S. Eliot

As far as I can remember, my parents have blessed me with travelling at an early age with my older sister. We went to many places together before more sibling showed up :)

I have always been fascinated with the people and cultures of the world and even tried to learn many languages that I could during my teenage years, but alas, my brain needed more RAM (as I would say) and I couldn't retain as much as I would have like. However, it did not stop me from learning the basics before I head out travelling. It's good to know the basics of at least "please"and "thank you."

I love to also eat, so trying new dishes while in another country is something I love to do. Despite being a multicultural nation, I find that some of the dishes have lost their authenticity to accommodate western taste buds so travelling, especially off the beaten path, is a great way to discover or re-discover some of the favourite dishes or just discover new ones. There are times you will learn that the things you don't like to eat may be something you never like to eat despite giving it a try while travelling. This was the case with couscous. I tried it when my cousin made a dish and did not like it. Tried it again at a restaurant here thinking perhaps they can help, but no can do, I still disliked it. Then I thought, perhaps an authentic dish in Morocco! Nope! At least I know that I tried :)

Another thing I like to do while travelling is people watching! If there is only a certain time frame that you are in the city/country, you want to jam pack everything in there to visit that you forget to really smell the roses and enjoy being there and to sit at a cafe and just see the locals live their life in just the small moments of time gives me that satisfaction to at least slightly understand the way they live without bombarding them with questions (that comes later). So remember to always stop and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea!

I hope to travel to every continent down the road. The world is such a big place but if I can travel and see little corners of here and there I will be one happy soul. I have my parents to thank for exposing me to travelling and leaving my footprints everywhere I go and sharing with you what I see through my lens.
