Media Designer by trade. Photographer by passion. Traveller by nature.

"What kind of photographer are you?" a soft voice whispers in my mind. A wind of uneasiness surrounds me. I am unsure how to answer that question although I have been asked many times by friends, by family and by strangers.

"What kind of photographer are you?" the soft voice whispers again. I play with the lens cap on one hand while holding my camera on the other, thinking of how I should answer this question. But I can't. I love macro photography and how little details are revealed. I love black and white photography and how colour doesn't dictate the beauty of contrast. I love landscape photography and how the simple surroundings brings so much peace and wonder. I love industrial/street photography and how it shows a different perspective of the things that we don't give a second look at. I love wildlife photography and how it brings the softness of things we have yet to learn to understand. I love documentary photography and how it captures every day life without any social limitations...

"What kind of photographer are you?" the soft voice whispers and interrupts my thoughts. I'm not a technical photographer nor am I an artsy one. Something from the corner of my eye captures my attention and interrupts my thoughts yet again. I quickly take off the lens cap, put the camera up to my eye and ...snap...snap... In that split second, I felt as though I was the only one with the power to freeze that moment in time. I slowly pull the camera away from my eye to see the world moving once more as though nothing had happened.

"What kind of photographer are you?" the soft voice whispers once again. A smile appeared on my face ... an intuitive one.

No matter how deep a study you make. What you really have to rely on is your own intuition and when it comes down to it, you really don't know what's going to happen until you do it.
